Snack Recipes from your Apartments Near Medical Center

  |     |   Uncategorized

Your favorite community of apartments in the Medical Center is back with another blog post, and this one is all about food and football. We know everyone is excited for the big game this weekend, but no watch party is complete without a full spread of snacks. Whether you’re hosting or going to someone else’s apartment to watch the game, it’s imperative that you spend some time cooking on Sunday morning. If you’re struggling to think of an appetizer to contribute to the party, you’ve come to the right place.

In this week’s blog, we’ll be talking about four different recipes that can help you impress your friends and show off your cooking skills at your watch party this weekend. Take a look at the list of recipes below, and be sure to share the link to this post with your friends and neighbors at your apartments near Medical Center!

Chorizo Queso Potato Skins

This whole recipe will only take about 15 minutes to make if you work quickly. The queso itself needs to simmer for about 8 minutes to fully cook the chorizo, and the potato skins should be nice and crispy after about 10 minutes in the oven. The only real variable in this recipe is the jalapenos, so consider your guests’ tolerance for heat before deciding how many jalapenos you want to add to the mix.

Head to the nearest grocery store and grab these ingredients so you can get started:

  • White Cheddar

  • Monterrey Jack

  • Flour

  • Chorizo

  • Scallions

  • Jalapeno

  • Cilantro

  • Lager Beer

  • Pico De Gallo

  • Small Gold Potatoes

  • Olive Oil

  • Salt

Clam Chowder Dip

The next recipe on our list is a subtle nod towards the team from New England. Your friends from the northeastern part of the country will appreciate this one! Instead of just serving plain old clam chowder soup, however, this recipe allows you to do something a little more interesting by turning the classic New England dish into a dip. The recipe calls for dipping saltine crackers in the chowder, but you can also grab a loaf of french bread if you want the meal to be a little more filling.

Head to the nearest grocery store and grab these ingredients so you can get started:

  • Cream Cheese

  • Clam Chowder

Baguette Pizza

If you forget to make anything before the big game, you might find yourself ordering a pizza at the last second. We hope that doesn’t happen, and that you have time to make these cute, tasty baguette pizzas instead. This recipe explains how to make a pepperoni baguette pizza, but you can swap ingredients in and out to cover the baguette with whatever toppings you’d like. Remember to grab some ranch, marinara or garlic sauce for dipping!
