How to Organize your Apartments in the Medical Center

  |     |   Uncategorized

What was the first thing you did when you moved into your apartments in the Medical Center? For most of you, it was probably unpacking. That creates a huge mess, and some apartment never recover from this. We all have these ideas about how our apartments should look, but it’s hard to actually implement them in a way that works for our space. Yes, it would be awesome if your apartment looked like it came straight out of a magazine, but that’s not the reality most of us live in. Life gets hectic, and apartments get messy.

People who have well-organized apartments usually have good habits. They don’t come home every night and clean, but they do perform little tasks every day that help keep their place tidy. Also, people who live in well-organized apartments have probably invested in some storage containers and wall-hangers. Staying organized is really about making sure every item in your has a home of it’s own.

We want to help our residents stay organized, so we’ve put together a list of tips that should help you do just that. Being organized is one way to eliminate stress from your life, and removing stress should be at the top of everyone’s list of priorities. Check out the list of tips below, and please remember to share this post with your neighbors at Stella apartments near Medical Center.

1. Use the backs of cupboards and doors

Nobody thinks about using the backs of cupboards for storage, but they’re actually perfect. All you have to do is invest in some command strips and 3M hooks, and you’ve got a new place to hang utensils, pots and pans, or anything else that’s taking up space in your home.

It’s also a good idea to put a calendar or whiteboard on the back of your cupboard so you can keep track of everything going on in your life. Every time you open your bathroom cupboard the morning, you’ll see your schedule for the week!

2. Keep shoes out of sight

Like it or not, your shoes count as clutter. The best way to keep shoes out of sight is to put them in a closet, but you can also invest in a shoe rack that has a cover on it. Having a pile of shoes piled up by your front door is not a good luck, and once you get rid of that, you’ll feel a lot better about your apartment.

3. Get a handle on your cord situation.

Few things make a house look messier than stray cords. The problem is, we all have TVs, video game consoles, laptops and other electronics that need cords for power! Luckily, the home-furnishing industry is quickly realizing that nobody likes the look of cords. There are tons of products out there specifically designed to hide cords. You’d be shocked by how much cleaner your apartment will look once you tuck cords behind a desk or even just wrap them up with a twist tie.
